Itinerary
We’ve created a 14-day sample itinerary showcasing the ultimate Bali school trip, blending volunteering, travel, adventure, and cultural immersion. While this provides a great starting point, we understand every school has unique goals. That’s why we offer bespoke itineraries tailored to your needs - whether you want to adjust the trip length, focus solely on volunteering, or combine it with travel experiences. Whatever your preferences, we’ll ensure your Bali school trip is affordable, structured, safe, and unforgettable.
After a restful night, you’ll start day 2 with a Balinese breakfast before beginning your orientation. Our local team will introduce you to Balinese culture, traditions, and essential dos and don’ts. You’ll also get an overview of your trip itinerary, safety guidelines, and the community projects we support.
In the afternoon, our local coordinator will guide you around Tabanan to visit the Subak Museum, showcasing traditional Balinese agriculture tools, and the vibrant Tabanan night market. You’ll also have the chance to exchange money, withdraw cash, and visit the supermarket.
After a full day of learning about life in Bali, it’s time to relax and prepare for your volunteering journey, which begins the next day.
After a busy morning, you’ll return to the accommodation for a well-earned Balinese lunch. Following lunch, you’ll prepare for the afternoon community teaching project. English is vital in Bali’s growing industries, particularly tourism, making English proficiency a valuable skill for local children. PMGY’s teaching English program in Tabanan provides free lessons at the Akasa Foundation, a community learning centre supporting preschoolers to teenagers from low-income families. Students lead classes in informal and engaging settings, helping to build confidence in conversational English while preparing children for formal education. The program also partners with local schools to teach in traditional classroom environments. Volunteers are encouraged to be creative and patient, with guidance from local teachers, ensuring a meaningful experience for both students and the eager-to-learn Balinese children.
Evenings in Tabanan will be filled with cultural and recreational activities to deepen your immersion into Balinese life. Highlights may include yoga classes and hot springs sessions.
Evenings will feature cultural experiences, such as a visit to Tabanan Royal Palace and a karaoke night. The following week promises even more adventure, starting with a trip to the Gili Islands.
Spend the day exploring the island, relaxing on the beaches, or cycling around its 3km stretch. In the evening, we’ll gather for a stunning Balinese sunset and enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
You’ll have more time to relax and enjoy the island on day 10 before departing for Bali in the late afternoon.
