Caring for Injured Birds in Ecuador! 🦜💚
South America is home to some of the most fascinating bird species, and it’s truly a privilege to work with these incredible creatures! Unfortunately, many of these birds face serious challenges like injury, habitat loss, and other struggles that leave them unable to survive in the wild.
Our sanctuary, nestled in the stunning hills of Quito, provides a safe haven where volunteers dedicate their time to helping these amazing birds. Here, they get to roam freely among the trees, enjoy the sun, and interact with one another. While they relax, our volunteers work tirelessly to prepare their meals, clean their enclosures, and care for the most injured, all while learning the art of training them to fly again!
Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate these birds, so they can return to the wild and thrive independently. If that’s not possible, they’ll remain in our sanctuary, surrounded by beautiful nature, delicious food, and plenty of feathered friends. 🕊️🌿
